Why is volunteering at the Sziget Festival great?
In volunteering everyone can find the task that is closest to them while getting to know how a festival works. Music lovers, young, old, sporty and quiet, Sziget Festival and Festival Volunteer Center welcome all new faces and happy to see familiar ones too! What does volunteering mean?
During Sziget Festival, volunteers work an average of 6 shifts, each lasting 6 hours, in different areas of the event and fulfill various roles and duties. Participating in the program requires a deposit which is returned after the last shift. Participants are not paid for their volunteer activities, but they can take part in the festival's programs throughout the entire duration of Sziget Festival (excluding the shifts of the volunteer)! Volunteers will work in a super team, and their work is supported by mentors and volunteer coordinators.

Where can you meet volunteers at the Sziget Festival?
Everywhere! Thanks to the preparation and training, our volunteers form a reliable team that always ready to take action and provide help for the visitors at the Sziget Festival. They are treated as equal members of the team by the festival staff and the audience. Thanks to this, volunteers work in almost all areas of the festival, helping it to run smoothly. How can you become a volunteer?
If you want to be a Sziget Volunteer, follow the steps below!
1. Register on the website and create your own profile. When creating it, make sure to fill out everything correctly!
2. Apply as a volunteer for the Sziget Festival on the "Events" tab of the website!
3. Sign up for an audition and attend it!
4. If you are selected, you will receive a contract from the Festival Volunteer Center, which you must accept in your profile!
5. After that, your prospective coordinator will contact you and send you all the important information regarding your volunteer position before the festival!
6. All you have to do is count down the days to the start of the Sziget Festival!
