LIVING STATUE ARTISTS
Living Statue at Sziget Festival 2023
In this OPEN CALL we are inviting all the living statue artists from around the world to join our contest. The Living Statue competition will take place during the first 5 days of Sziget festival, from the 10th to the 14th of August 2023.
Application and selection:
To apply, submit the application before the deadline on April 24th, 2023.
The festival's selection process will prioritize creativity, originality, and performance quality. There is no particular preferred theme for this open-call.
In case getting selected:
Selected artists will perform for two 90-minute slots per day, from 4.30-6pm and 6.30-8pm, for the duration of the Championship period (10th until the 14th of August).
The chosen performances will be provided with the following:
- 1200€ in total for participation, including travel expenses (by contract, paid against invoice).
- Accommodation for 6 nights during the performance and one extra night to enjoy the festival
- Full board catering at the festival and transfer to/from the hotel.
- Sziget Festival pass
- A backstage area and dressing room during the festival
Please note that no further artist fee or contribution will be provided.
Busking
Busking is not possible, because Sziget is a cashless festival, visitors might not have cash on them.
