General tickets
Where can I buy tickets?
Please make sure you buy tickets from our webshop, travel and hotel packages (incl. a 6-day Pass) at Festival Travel’s website or at the Main Entrance (during opening hours) during the festival, otherwise we cannot guarantee the validity of your ticket.
What’s included in the ticket price?
A handling fee is charged in addition to the current ticket price when purchasing your ticket online (in the webshop). This is an administration fee for online ticket purchases, the amount of which you can find out in our webshop. You can buy your tickets at the Sziget on-site ticket offices (during opening hours), in which case this administration fee will not be charged.
However, it is important to note that the on-site ticket price (the on-site gate price) may be higher than the online ticket price, so we recommend that you buy your ticket from our webshop. This will not only save you money, but also can avoid a situation where there are no tickets available (on a sold out day).
What kind of cards do you accept?
We accept the following cards: MasterCard, Maestro, Visa, Visa Electron.
You can pay by Revolut & Google Pay (by OTP Simple – please choose Pay with Debit Card or Credit Card and then click on Google Pay option).
Please note that Google Pay is not accepted in case of a payment plan.
My payment was declined. What can be wrong?
In case the online purchase was declined first make sure that your card is supported for online transactions or online purchase is not prohibited by the card provider or you have the sufficient amount for the transaction and there is no purchase limit or your credit card has not expired. You can also try the following steps: please retry the payment process and double-check the data you have entered! Typos can happen. In case of a transaction failure, we recommend to try using an alternative credit card. Alternatively you can try to purchase your ticket from one of our official ticketing partners. Should the transaction continue to fail you might want to get in touch with your credit card company. They will need the following data (you can find them in the error message): transaction ID number & 3-digit error code.
I haven’t received an email with my ticket. What’s wrong?
It can take a maximum of 24 hours for the link to arrive, in case it did not happen, please try the following steps:
Check your SPAM/promotions folder in your mailbox. Your activation link arrives from the following email address: [email protected]
Log in to your Festival Account, where you can access your tickets easily.
You might have mistyped your email address. If you think this is the case, please write an email to the following address: [email protected]
How does the instalment plan work exactly?
All the info on instalment plan might be found here: https://szigetfestival.com/en/payment-plan

Safety @ Sziget
We pay special attention to the safety of visitors.
At the entrances, a ‘check-in’ system helps to recognize if not the authorized user wants to enter with the issued wristband. Safe entertainment is provided by security and medical staff, and we work with the police and the Counter-Terrorism Centre.
Before leaving, you should review the list of items that can and cannot be brought to the festival. At the security check at the entrance, objects that cannot be brought in will be filtered out for your safety.
Be sure that you have a photo ID with you while entering, you will need this to receive your wristband.
First Aid
At Sziget, our Helper Team, the National Ambulance Service and The Sziget Medical Center are taking care of your health and medical issues.
If you need medical attention, turn to our medical staff at the Sziget Medical Center. The medical staff will contact the hospital if needed. If you cannot make it to the Sziget Medical Center, look for the nearest Szitizen Care Point, the Helper patrol, or ask a security guard, volunteer or staff member. They will call for help. If you or someone is badly injured, call 112 and contact us immediately.
The Sziget Medical Center also offers you free storage for your prescribed medicine, and a Hygiene Room for your special medical needs. If you have any medical-related questions, ask the Customer Service at the Welcome Zone. They will surely know the solution. Feel free to ask them!
If you overdone your partying, losing your energy and feeling sick, look for the Party Service next to the BOLT Night Stage. Here, a trained staff will help you with hydration, vitamins, supervised rest and first aid, if necessary.
Check out our Medical Guide for more useful information about the medical service of the Sziget Medical Center and the collaborating hospitals, and the Hungarian healthcare and insurance policies for EU and non-EU citizens.
Cashless payment at the festival
How to claim back your balance from your wristband?
The amount charged to the payment chip on site (at a top-up point or a vending machine) can only be used during the duration of Sziget 2026, in the commercial units operating at the event venues. In the case of purchasing multiple day tickets, you will receive a different, new wristband and a payment chip for each day ticket. If your wristband for the first day you top up money, you can use it for the entire duration of the festival. The validity of the payment chip is: August 16, 2026, 12:00 p.m.
The remaining balance of the wristband charged on the spot for any day ticket or pass must therefore be redeemed no later than the time specified above, otherwise the balance remaining on it will be lost.
Did you top up your balance through a festival account? In this case, we will automatically transfer it back to you within 30 days, after deducting a refund fee of HUF 800, to the bank card used for the top-up. Please top up your balance from a card that is valid for 60 days after the festival. If your card has expired, lost, or is disabled, the automatic refund is unfortunately not possible unless you contact our customer service separately. In this case, the refund procedure can take up to 90 days.
You can read more information in the Festipay User Guide.

How to top-up a wristband?
If you have already entered the event, you can simply add your wristband to the application. For this you need: a valid bank card suitable for online payment (only VISA and Mastercard), wristband + PIN code, your email address.
For this you need:
- To be able to easily top up your wristband at the festival, get the application.
- After downloading the free application, follow the steps in the Wristband Upload menu item.
- Your top-up will be activated automatically at the next payment when your balance is too low.
- Or you can separately request activation of your top-up at the next payment.
- To do this, they must press button 7 on the terminal.
- You can top up your balance via the mobile application even before the festival, so you can pay with it immediately after exchanging your wristband.
The transaction fee for uploading the wristband is HUF 700.
More information can be found in the Festipay User manual.
How can I top-up money to my wristband before the festival?
If you want to top-up money to your wristband before the festival, you can do it very simply in a few steps. Register/sign in to your Festival Account first. After logging in, by clicking on the ‘Topup’ button next to ‘Home’, the site will offer two options.
- After selecting the ‘I have a ticket’ option, you will need the ID under the QR or barcode on your ticket. After that, you click on ‘Submit’, and you have to choose ‘Topup ticket’ from the buttons. You can choose the amount of the top-up, and you can also enter a unique amount. The top-up fee is HUF 700 in all cases.
When choosing the payment method, you should use card registration payment, because in this case you do not have to enter your data again later. If you choose the option without card registration, you have to enter your card details every time you want to top-up money. - The ‘I have a wristband’ option is useful in the following two cases: you are not entered at the festival area yet, but you have already redeemed your ticket for a wristband, or you are already inside the festival area, but you want to comfortably and online load money into your wristband.
This option requires the wristband number and the PIN code. The PIN code is the last 4 characters of the ID below the QR code or barcode of your ticket. After the ‘Add wristband’ step, you have to click on the wristband itself. From there, the top-up process is the same as for the first option.
You can easily check your payments and refund information at any time!
What is my PIN?
Your PIN code is the code you have to use to verify your wristband. You will get this code at the entrance on a receipt. Or you can use the last 4 characters of your ticket ID as your PIN. If you don’t have any of these, just visit any ticket or Festipay helpdesk so we can help you!
What if my wristband gets lost or broken?
You can block a damaged or lost wristband and the corresponding balance on site at the Helpdesks with your PIN code if you have previously registered it in your Festival Account.
