KINO BIZARRE

KINO BIZARRE

This year, Bar Bizarre and the Budapest International Film Festival (BIFF) are bringing their worlds together at Sziget with Kino Bizarre.

As the sun goes down, Bar Bizarre sets the mood with natural wines, vinyl DJ sets, and a carefully curated atmosphere. Then, from 11:00 PM, BIFF takes over the open-air screen with a selection of cult music documentaries: the stories of iconic artists, legends of the musical underground, and films that go far beyond conventional biographies – raw, witty, and at times heartbreaking portraits of the musicians who left a lasting mark on music history.

Between concerts, just a few steps away from the smoky energy of the main stages, we invite you into an intimate multidisciplinary hideaway, where a 12-metre-wide outdoor screen, iconic films, loud DJ sets, Bar Bizarre’s carefully selected natural wines, and a crowd of familiar faces come together.

Technical production for the outdoor screenings is provided by Mindenki Mozija.

Capturing the volatile friendship and fierce rivalry between their frontmen, the film has since become a landmark of music documentary filmmaking. Now, over two decades later, the newly restored and expanded 4K version will have its Hungarian premiere at the Kino Bizarre venue of Sziget Festival.
