Staying on the island is the best way to make the most of your Sziget experience! By camping right on the festival grounds, you avoid the hassle of daily travel back and forth, saving time and skipping repeated security checks. Every minute of commuting is a missed opportunity for new experiences, so staying on-site means you're always close to the action. Plus, the island has everything you need – from convenient Aldi shopping to budget-friendly food options and small shops. Forgot something at home? No problem – you can pick it up on-site. Only leave the island to explore Budapest as part of your festival holiday, combining the festival with a city break. Staying on the island makes every moment count!
Where to stay on the island?
Basic Camping
Camp on the Island! Enjoy free basic camping at Sziget Festival with your 6-Day Pass, 3-Day Pass, or Day Tickets (for at least two consecutive days). Choose from a pre-pitched tent for 2 or 4 people, a convenient pick-up tent, or bring your own. Set up camp anywhere you like – except at program venues or in designated upgrade camping areas.
Before choosing your tent pitch, check out the map on our site, where we’ve highlighted the best spots, including the shadiest.
There’s a large shower area that everyone uses, located in the Basic Camping zone, which is also shown on the map.
Check in early to the campsite and grab the best pitches? You can do that too: with the special move-in ticket you can settle in two days early.
Please note that the pre-installed accommodation is non-movable and available on a first-come, first-served basis. We recommend that if you want to stay with your friends, you settle in together!

Siesta Camping
Siesta Camping is a paid option and you’ll need to buy a separate Siesta ticket.
The best part? It’s super peaceful – no through pedestrian traffic, and no big crowds. What you will find, depending on water levels, is a Sziget Beach just a few steps away. Enjoy swimming, sunbeds, and a DJ. There’s also a chill-out space for relaxing.
Siesta campers get access to their own separate showers and toilets. Plus, there’s a free luggage storage service at the reception.
You can bring your own tent – or rent one from us.
If you bring your own tent, there’s an extra deposit required this year, but you’ll get it back when you leave.
If you want to check in early, you can do that too: with the special move-in ticket you can move in two days early and start exploring.
Pre-positioned accommodation cannot be moved and is allocated on an arrival order basis. If you want to share a place with friends, you should settle in together!
