General tickets
What is a boarding pass?
Getting your boarding pass will be the easiest and fastest way to enter the festival. You don’t need to prepare all your vouchers and barcodes for all pre-bought services, searching for our email in your inbox, creating screeshoots that you’ll never find… You will just have one code.
You can get your boarding pass from your Festival Account and easily add it to your Mobile Wallet.
Don’t have a Festival Account? Register here. If the e-mail address used for the purchase of your ticket different from the one that you signed in with, add your ticket(s) manually using the serial number displayed below the QR code on the ticket. Otherwise it will be automatically there 🙂
How do I transfer my ticket to someone else?
You can easily transfer your tickets to another Festival Account holder in your Festival Account: just go to the “My tickets and wristbands” menu and click “Select tickets to send to a friend”. Select the transferable ticket(s) and add the name and email address of your friend. The recipient will get an automatic email with some instructions. Until the tickets are not accepted by your friend as per the instructions, you can still change your mind and cancel the transfer. This is the safest way to manage your tickets: for example, if you bought several tickets, this function is the best way to distribute them among your friends. In case you can’t find your ticket, log out of your account and log in again.
If you want to safely sell your tickets, we recommend to use the 100% safe Ticketswap.

What ‘s included in the ticket price?
A 5% handling fee is charged in addition to the current ticket price when purchasing your ticket online (in the webshop). Camping & accommodation
What does it mean that I can camp anywhere on the island?
Your ticket includes basic camping, which means that you can set up your tent in any of the free camping areas around the festival. It’s forbidden to camp at the Festival music venues. You can only enter to edicated campsites with an upgrade camping ticket. Csheck the camping map .
Coming to the Island of Freedom with your own tent? Please grab a Leave-no-tent Deposit ticket, as it is mandatory to show it to our staff at the Entrance. On your way back home, take your tent with you (or at least drop it to one of our Green Sziget Points, or at the Siesta Camping Reception or at at the location of the Hungarian Charity Service of the Order of Malta) & redeem the ticket voucher and we’ll give the amount back. You can also drop it off at these points and donate for charity – last year we could donate 300 tents with our lovely Szitizens.
What is this Leave-no-tent deposit ticket all about? And why? How to get it back?
Well, if you’re coming to The Island of Freedom with your own tent, then you must grab a Leave-no-tent deposit ticket, as it is mandatory to show it to our staff at the Entrance – otherwise you cannot bring it inside the festival area. On your way back home, take your tent with you (or at least drop it to one of our Green Sziget Points) & redeem the ticket voucher and we’ll give the amount back. You can also drop it off at these points and donate for charity – last year we could donate 300 tents with our lovely Szitizens.
SO WHY IS IT? DID YOU KNOW THAT…
- Tents left on the island generate around 7000 kg of plastic waste, polluting the island.
- Tents are typically made from non-recyclable plastic materials and when burnt they emit components into the atmosphere which contribute to acid rain.
- One tent is equivalent to about 8,750 plastic straws.
- Last year we distributed 356 tents to charities, but collecting the tents left behind takes up a lot of time and energy.
With your help, we are protecting the island from plastic pollution and by using your tent for many years, you contribute to the reduction of single use plastics and to a more circular world. Let’s work together to leave our campgrounds beautiful and green!
IMPORTANT NOTICE
It is mandatory to get a deposit ticket to bring your own tent to Sziget. Vouchers will be provided in e-mail after purchase, which needs to be presented at the Entrance to be entitled to bring the tent inside the Festival area. Deposit can only be purchased through our webshop. Please use a credit card that will not expire at least 2 months after the festival.
HOW TO GET IT BACK?
To get the deposit back, please show up with your tent at one of our one of our Green Sziget Points, or at the Siesta Camping Reception or at at the location of the Hungarian Charity Service of the Order of Malta on your way back home and redeem the voucher. The deposit will be fulfilled as a refund transaction, within 30 days after the Festival, to the bank account belonging to the bank card used for purchasing the deposit ticket. The deposit cannot be repaid in cash or by way of bank transfer.
For those who are not validating the voucher at the Festival Entrance the deposit will be automatically refunded as a refund transaction, within 30 days after the Festival, to the bank account belonging to the bank card used for the purchase.
If your bank card has expired, OTP Bank Nyrt. will contact your bank in order to fulfil the refund. In an event of this, the fulfilment of the refund may take more than 30 days after the Festival.

How to get to Sziget by bike or scooter?
If you can, ride a bike or scooter to the Festival, or bring it with you on the train/car, maybe rent one and be free as a bird in Budapest – this is the easiest and, by the way, the greenest way to get to us and to the bike storage at the K-bridge you can even lock it safely (bicycles and scooters are not allowed in the festival area). You can reach the K Bridge via EUROVELO 6 route.
If you are transporting the bicycle by HÉV, buy a single ticket for it and be sure to get off at Filatorigat, because this year the H-híd is closed to pedestrian and bicycle traffic. If you are drunk, please do not cycle!
How to get to Sziget by car?
Sziget Festival is located on Óbuda Island in the heart of Budapest. The exact address is: Május 9. park, Budapest, Hungary, 1033. Check on Google Maps.
Close Parking places are available in a very limited amount at H Terminal Parking tickets available here (one-time enter only!). Therefore, we suggest choosing an alternative way to arrive at Sziget. You can now book your parking spot near Sziget (at Auchan) and skip the hassle of dragging your luggage through the city. Park close, party hard, and make the most of your festival experience!
When you’re drunk, drinking and driving may seem like a smart idea, but even little amounts of alcohol can impact reaction times and create blurred or double vision, putting you (and others) at risk behind the wheel. How to avoid it? Quite simple: Do not drink and drive.
Parking at the Festival
Parking places are available in a very limited amount (H Parking Terminal tickets are here – one-time enter only!).
Therefore, we suggest choosing an alternative way to arrive at Sziget. More options can be found here.
Health & Safety
Szitizen Care
We launched our Szitizen Care program to offer a solution to any problem you may have. So that you can feel safe and comfortable on the Island of Freedom, enjoying a carefree party.
If you need mental support or a good conversation, looking for assistance with a special medical issue, have overdone your partying, or have experienced something unpleasant, you can find us at many places around Sziget.
Our Szitizen Care Points and the Main Entrance Info Point will help you to find the right assistance or give you guidance.
The Welfare Zone helps you get back in shape with massage and a shady chill zone. Here, our Mental Care Point offers mental counseling and prevention talks. You can also find the Customer Service and the E4U Pop-up Embassy here. At the Welfare Zone, you can also participate in free mole screening and dermatological consultation by the specialists of the Hungarian Dermatological Society. A few minutes short examination can save a life!
If you feel like you can’t handle your mental burden, visit our Crisis Point.
Our Party Service in the heart of Delta District will take care of you if you have partied too much.
Our Hygiene Room is waiting for you at the Sziget Medical Center if you have a medical problem that requires a clean, sterile corner.
While incidents of drink spiking are extremely rare at Sziget, your safety remains our top priority. For added peace of mind, anti-spiking test kits are available for purchase at the on-site Sziget Pharmacy.
Hungarian Drug Policy: Zero Tolerance
Since 2025, Hungary has significantly tightened its drug laws. Possession, use, and sale of drugs — regardless of type or quantity — are all criminal offenses. The law makes no distinction between so-called ‘soft’ or ‘hard’ drugs, and penalties can be severe, including imprisonment. The country applies a zero-tolerance policy to everyone on its territory, including international visitors.
Hungarian police actively enforce these laws. If you are found in possession of illegal substances, you risk arrest, prosecution under Hungarian law, and serious legal consequences. There is no warning system or exception for tourists.
We strongly advise all visitors: do not bring or use drugs in Hungary. Avoid putting yourself and others at risk, and help us keep the festival safe and enjoyable for everyone.
Safety @ Sziget
We pay special attention to the safety of visitors.
At the entrances, a ‘check-in’ system helps to recognize if not the authorized user wants to enter with the issued wristband. Safe entertainment is provided by security and medical staff, and we work with the police and the Counter-Terrorism Centre.
Before leaving, you should review the list of items that can and cannot be brought to the festival. At the security check at the entrance, objects that cannot be brought in will be filtered out for your safety.
Be sure that you have a photo ID with you while entering, you will need this to receive your wristband.
First Aid
At Sziget our Helper First Aid Team, the National Ambulance Service and The Sziget Medical Center are taking care of your health and medical issues.
If you need medical attention, turn to our medical staff at the Sziget Medical Center. The medical staff will contact the hospital if needed. If you cannot make it to the Sziget Medical Center, look for the nearest Szitizen Care Point, the Helper First Aid patrol, or ask a security guard, volunteer or staff member. They will call for help. If you or someone is badly injured, call 112 and contact us immediately.
The Sziget Medical Center also offers you free storage for your prescribed medicine, and a Hygiene Room for your special medical needs. If you have any medical-related question, ask The Customer Service at the Welfare Zone. They will surely know the solution. Feel free to ask them!
If you overdone your partying, losing your energy and feeling sick, look for the Party Service next to the BOLT Night Stage. Here, a trained staff will help you with hydration, vitamins, supervised rest and first aid, if necessary.
Check out our Medical Guide for more useful information about the medical service of the Sziget Medical Center and the collaborating hospitals, and the Hungarian healthcare and insurance policies for EU and non-EU citizens.
COVID regulations
The safety of our festival-goers and artists is a top priority for us. Under current regulations, the obligation to wear a mask and restrictions on vaccinations at music and dance events have been lifted in Hungary. We closely monitor the COVID situation and will follow the official regulations of the Hungarian government.
So there is no need to wear a mask or show COVID green pass at the Festival. We suggest to bring hand sanitizer and wash your hands often 🙂
You can check the latest regulations here.

How can I top-up money to my wristband before the festival?
If you want to top-up money to your wristband before the festival, you can do it very simply in a few steps. Register/sign in to your Festival Account first. After logging in, by clicking on the ‘Topup’ button next to ‘Home’, the site will offer two options.
- After selecting the ‘I have a ticket’ option, you will need the ID under the QR or barcode on your ticket. After that, you click on ‘Submit’, and you have to choose ‘Topup ticket’ from the buttons. You can choose the amount of the top-up, and you can also enter a unique amount. The top-up fee is HUF 700 in all cases.
When choosing the payment method, you should use card registration payment, because in this case you do not have to enter your data again later. If you choose the option without card registration, you have to enter your card details every time you want to top-up money. - The ‘I have a wristband’ option is useful in the following two cases: you are not entered at the festival area yet, but you have already redeemed your ticket for a wristband, or you are already inside the festival area, but you want to comfortably and online load money into your wristband.
This option requires the wristband number and the PIN code. The PIN code is the last 4 characters of the ID below the QR code or barcode of your ticket. After the ‘Add wristband’ step, you have to click on the wristband itself. From there, the top-up process is the same as for the first option.
You can easily check your payments and refund information at any time!
What is my PIN?
Your PIN code is the code you have to use to verify your wristband. You will get this code at the entrance on a receipt. Or you can use the last 4 characters of your ticket ID as your PIN. If you don’t have any of these, just visit any ticket or Festipay helpdesk so we can help you!
What if my wristband gets lost or broken?
You can block a damaged or lost wristband and the corresponding balance on site at the Helpdesks with your PIN code if you have previously registered it in your Festival Account.
Getting a refund
Can I get a refund, change or resell my tickets?
Generally speaking, we have a no-refund/ticket change policy. Check here our GTC for further information.
Not able to join the event? You can easily change your ticket in your Festival Account after registration! It is important that a ticket can only be exchanged for another ticket of the same price, and every exchange includes a swap fee (€26 or 10,000 HUF) – all steps are listed here to do so. Alternatively, you can safely sell your ticket via our official resale partner, Ticketswap.
As our ticket vouchers are not personalized feel free to give the spare ticket to one of your friends or sell them (in this case we suggest using the safest option, Ticketswap).
If you insured your ticket during the checkout process of the purchase in the Sziget webshop, you can get a full refund of the ticket price directly to your bank account in case of the occurance of the insured events detailed in this Service Table.
